Muay Thai, also sometimes referred to as “Thai boxing”, is a combat sport and martial art from Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques.
Muay Thai is known as “The Art of Eight Limbs”, with two competitors in the ring throwing punches, elbows, knees and kicks at each other. Clinching, sweeps and throws are also allowed.
Regarded as one of the most effective striking arts in the world, Muay Thai fighters are known for their power, conditioning and humbleness.
What equipment do I need?
You will need shorts and a t-shirt with no zips, buttons or sharp parts. You should bring boxing gloves and shin & insteps if you have them plus a mouth guard.
Do I need to pre-book?
Yes. At the moment, due to Covid restrictions all classes must be pre-booked.
